Central Oregon offers plenty to do when the workday is done. We have mountains. We have rivers. We have lakes. We have wildland forests. We have desert landscapes. Accessible adventures for all ages and all skill levels are readily available.

Like skiing? You can find both casual and intense levels of skiing at Mt. Bachelor and Hoodoo ski resort.

Want the physical challenge of climbing? Try the world-famous rock climbing at Smith Rock State Park.

Prefer water sports? Paddleboard, float, or kayak the local rivers and any of the 12 lakes located on the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway. Or take a white water rafting trip on the McKenzie or the Deschutes River. Water skiing is available on Lake Billy Chinook.

Fishing your passion? The Metolius, Deschutes, Crooked, and Fall River all offer world-class fly fishing.

Enjoy camping? The National and State Parks offer unlimited possibilities.

Biking your thing? From mountain biking to road biking, Bend’s reputation as Bike Town U.S.A. is well deserved. At the heart of this Oregon cycling mecca is the Three Sisters Scenic Bikeway, a collection of stunning road cycling routes linking the local communities. There are also over 700 miles of mountain biking trails throughout Central Oregon, including the renowned Phil’s Trail complex.

Golf enthusiast? You can’t ask for much more in the way of golf. There are 30 courses within 45 minutes of each other, and three of them are listed in the Golf Digest’s Top 100.

There are so many things to do outside. You can work here, play here, and raise a family here.
